MCGILL'S SCHOOL FOR DOGS

                                         Obedience

People buy dogs expecting loyal loving pets that lie at their feet, come when called and to be a great protector. They are often sadly disappointed when Rover decides to chew the shoes that go on their feet, runs away when called and just about knocks you down while trying to hide behind you from the neighbours cat! So many dogs end up in shelters each year that the charities can hardly keep up with the demands for re-homing. I am offering you an alternative. Dogs require and even crave discipline. Though when I say discipline I do not mean hitting the dog which can make it aggressive or fearful of humans. But dogs DO need structured discipline as much as they need affection to live happy lives. I do not only train the dog but also the owner because it is important for the dog to respect and obey the owner and not JUST the trainer.

                                          THE BIG DIFFERENCE

You may wonder what the big difference is between myself and other companies? Personalization, I come to you to access the dog and to see how the owner deals with the issues and help the owner learn how to properly deal with any trouble areas. I work with the dog for as long as necessary and my fees are based on session alone and not by the hour so you know what you will be paying for before hand, and there is no obligatory term, If you are not pleased with the service you may cancel at any time.  I personally attend all call outs so I get to know each dog, owner and their needs. I keep my fees low, the reason for this is because my main target is to train dogs and keep them in loving homes and out of the kennels where there is no guarantees as to re-homing and always a possibility of euthanasia.

                                          WHAT CAN I DO?

I am skilled in training dogs not only with the basics of sit, stay and lay down but with behavioural problems such as food aggression, fear of people and aggression to other dogs. Chewing, dominant behaviour and dismissive behaviour.

                                         QUALIFICATIONS?

I worked as a veterinary assistant in America for 6 years dealing with various breeds, I found I had the knack of dealing with the "out of hand" or "aggressive"  dogs. Soon I was in charge of the dogs the other assistants and vets feared. I would have customers coming in and asking me how to handle their problem pooches. Soon the vet I worked for seized the opportunity and started offering obedience classes where I would train customers dogs. Later, here in Northern Ireland  I started out on my own as a hobby trying to save dogs from lives in cages.

                                                  PRICING

If I have to travel more than 10 miles to train the dog I charge £15.00 per session
